Dished knives undoubtedly represent a prominent part of our production, resulting from constant quality over time and great availability of the ready product (or in any case with reduced delivery times).
The dished knives are used on all cutters that perform a scissor cut and are mounted on both pneumatic and normal blade holders.
Simple Bevel Dished Knives are made of 100 Cr6 Steel, HSS, K100, STD, 1.2067. However, upon customer request, they can also be produced in 12% Cr steel and ASP. Sizes: 62x40x0.6mm, 62x40x1.2mm, 65x40x1.2mm, 65x45x1.2mm, 71x38x2mm, 72x50x0.8mm, 72x50x1.2mm, 75x45x1.2mm, 75x50x1.2mm, 90x60x1.2mm, 99x66x0.55mm, 100x70x1.2mm, 105x65x1.2mm, 105x75x1.2mm, 110x65x1.2mm, 110x75x1.2mm, 130x100x1.5mm, 130x80x1.5mm, 130x80x1.8mm, 135x100x1.8mm, 150x80x2.5mm.
Depending on the material to be cut, the thickness and bevel profile of the conical knives vary. There are three types of beveling: single bevel, double bevel, and concave bevel. The simple bevel conical knife differs from other bevels because it has only the cutting angle, mainly facilitating the cutting of paper material.
Simple Bevel Dished Knives are available from stock in sizes ranging from an outer diameter of 62mm up to 180mm. It is also possible to manufacture custom products according to customer specifications based on a sample or a technical drawing with dimensions.
The sharpening of the cutting angle is 25° or 30°.
Simple bevel conical knives are most commonly used on cutters, rewinder machines, and inspection tables to cut numerous materials such as non-woven fabric (TNT), labels, flexible and adhesive laminates, paper, cardboard, films, and even aluminum. They are usually mounted on cutting systems, mechanical and pneumatic supports.
Typically, simple bevel conical knives undergo sandblasting treatment, a process that makes the back of the blade clean and uniform. However, upon specific customer requirements, the surfaces of these knives can also be ground on both sides.
Conical knives are generally used on machines running at medium/low speeds, unlike flat knives, which are mounted on high-speed machines.
Conical knives and blade holders with grub screw, pack, or ball locking constitute the upper part of the shear cutting system; the latter exert opposition to the lower blades, which are the counter blades. Blade holders and counter blades made with different locking systems are also produced by us.
The resharpening of simple bevel conical knives is a fundamental operation to maintain cutting efficiency and precision. This process allows the restoration of the cutting edge and, if necessary, the bevel, thus helping to extend the blade’s useful life.
