The screw locking knife holders are made of 100Cr6 and Fe52 steel and undergo a bluing treatment, which prevents rust formation and slows down wear. Sizes: 80/70x45x10mm, 85/75x60x15mm, 85/75x60x20mm, 96/82x60x15mm, 96/82x60x25mm, 110/100x80x20mm, 110/100x80x25mm. Locking is ensured by the set screw, which allows effective clamping of the knife holders onto the upper shaft.

Our screw locking knife holders always come with springs and circlips. In fact, to achieve optimal cutting, it is essential to determine the correct characteristics of the spring; these include length, wire diameter, and consequently the resulting tension. Equally important is the selection of the bevel type and the steel used for the conical knives matched with the knife holders, depending on the material to be cut. The blade holder, together with the conical knives, make up the upper part of the cutting unit known as the “scissor system”; these work in opposition to the lower blades, which are the counter-knives.

The blade holders are mounted on rewinding machines, slitter rewinders, and slitting systems suitable for cutting a wide range of materials. These include aluminum, flexible and adhesive laminates, paper and cardboard, nonwoven fabric, as well as plastic and metallic films.

It is important that the log holders are kept in optimal condition. In fact, if the seat where the knife is inserted becomes worn, the knife will not be properly secured, resulting in an imperfect and uneven cut. Likewise, the springs must be checked periodically to ensure the correct pressure of the conical knives against the counter-knives during cutting.
