The Polished Hollow Bevel Dished Knives measuring 105x75x1.2mm are made of K100 steel; however, upon the customer’s specific request, they can also be produced in HSS steel, 100Cr6, 12% Cr, and ASP.
The thickness and type of bevel vary depending on the material to be cut. In fact, there are three variants: simple bevel, double bevel, and hollow bevel. The latter, unlike the other bevel types, is distinguished by a “concave” curvature of the bevel itself; this facilitates the cutting of aluminum and thin laminates without damaging them. Since these materials are very thin and delicate, the hollow bevel is chosen because it allows for greater cutting precision, ensuring optimal control during the operation.
Polished Hollow Bevel Dished Knives are usually available from stock with outer diameters ranging from 62mm to 180mm. It is also possible to produce custom products according to the customer’s specifications by providing a sample or a detailed technical drawing.
The sharpening angle is 25° or 30°.
The **Polished Hollow Bevel Dished Knives** are mounted on cutting systems, mechanical and pneumatic supports. They are mainly used on rewinding machines and inspection tables, but also on cutters for cutting various materials including aluminum, flexible laminates and adhesives, paper, non-woven fabric (NWF), cardboard, labels, and also films.
The Polished Hollow Bevel Dished Knives undergo a mirror polishing treatment; an operation that allows for less adhesive residue and a significant reduction in roughness.
Polished Hollow Bevel Dished Knives are typically used on machines with medium/low speeds, unlike flat knives which are mounted on high-speed machines.
The conical knives and the blade holders with set screw, pack, or ball locking represent the upper part of the shear cutting system; these act in opposition to the lower blades made up of the counter blades. The blade holders and counter blades, produced with various locking systems, are also manufactured by us.
These types of knives can be resharpened. Resharpening is a process through which a worn product is regenerated by restoring the cutting edge and, if necessary, the bevel, giving the blade a “second life.”
