The Polished Double Bevel Dished Knives are made of K100 steel. However, it is also possible to manufacture them in other types of steel such as K720, 100Cr6, HSS, and ASP. Sizes available: 105x60x1.2mm, 130x80x1.5mm, 150x80x2.5mm.
The conical knives can be produced with three types of bevels:
- single bevel, ideal for cutting paper and laminated materials;
- concave bevel, suitable for cutting aluminum or thin laminates;
- double bevel, considered a hybrid. This last type is recommended for cutting materials such as PET, polypropylene, PVC, flexible packaging, and others.
Conical knives are generally available in stock with sizes ranging from 62mm to 180mm. Upon customer request, providing a sample or a detailed technical drawing, custom-made items can be produced.
The sharpening angle is 30°.
The Polished Double Bevel Dished Knives are designed to be used on rewinder machines, slitter/cutters, and inspection tables for cutting materials such as paper, aluminum, electric cables, rubber, lithographic tapes, flexible materials and adhesives, non-woven fabric (TNT), labels, cardboard, and films. These conical knives are used in all cutters that perform a scissor cut and can be mounted on both pneumatic and traditional blade holders.
These conical knives can be ground or subjected to a mirror polishing process, which significantly reduces surface roughness and greatly decreases the residual amount of adhesive material. This treatment is ideal for those working with adhesive, laminated, or non-woven (TNT) materials, as it ensures a reduction in generated dust thanks to the particular blade configuration.
Thanks to advanced manufacturing technologies, our conical knives allow for high cutting speeds without compromising quality.
The conical knives and blade holders with various locking methods (set screw, pack, or ball locking) represent the upper part of the scissor cutting mechanism, acting in opposition to the lower blades, known as counter blades. Blade holders and counter blades, available with different locking systems, are also made in-house.
Polished Double Bevel Dished Knives can be resharpened; this process regenerates worn products and restores the cutting edge and possibly the bevel, thus extending the knife’s lifespan. This operation minimizes waste of resources and raw materials; in fact, replacing damaged knives with new ones helps reduce the environmental impact related to production and disposal.
