The Hardened Screw Locking Holders, with screw locking and ring fastening, are made of Fe52 steel and subjected to a hardening heat treatment. Dimensions: 85/75x60x20mm.
In particular, the hardening process increases the hardness and resistance of the material to withstand the stress exerted by the springs during operation.
Moreover, the dual locking system—screw and ring—ensures secure fastening of the holders on the upper shaft.

Our Hardened Screw Locking Holders are always supplied complete with springs and retaining rings (Seeger).

The spring characteristics are selected according to the material to be cut and the force required during the cutting phase.
The screw locking holders serve as support for our in-house manufactured conical knives. The most commonly used knife sizes are 105x75x1.2mm, as well as 108x75x1.2mm and 110x75x1.2mm.

The 85/75x60x20mm hardened screw locking holders with ring and the conical knives form the upper part of the so-called “scissor-type” cutting unit, which operates in opposition to the lower blades (counter-knives).
Scissor cutting is used in rewinding machines, slitters, and slitter rewinders, and is particularly suitable for cutting a wide range of materials. These include paper and cardboard, aluminum, flexible and adhesive laminates, non-woven fabric, and also plastic and metallic films.

It is essential to keep the holders in optimal condition. If the knife seat becomes worn, the knife will not be properly secured, resulting in an imperfect and non-linear cut.
Likewise, the springs must be checked periodically to ensure the correct pressure of the conical knives against the counter-knives during cutting.

The following spare parts are always available: springs, retaining rings (Seeger), and screws, along with a full overhaul service.
