Flat Knives 3 Holes

To view the price, register.

Flat Knives 3 Holes, sizes 150x80x2.5mm and 130x80x2.3mm, are manufactured in different types of steel: low chromium content (K720 and 100Cr6) and high chromium content (K100). Depending on the customer’s requirements, they can also be made in other steels.
The thickness and bevel vary depending on the material to be cut.
In fact, the bevel can be: single, double, or with front relief.

The holes on the flat knives are present for the locking system, as the support provides fixation through threaded holes.
Besides flat knives produced with 3 holes, our production also includes versions with slots or with keyways.

The sharpening angle is 25° or 30°.

Flat knives are available ready in sizes ranging from an outer diameter of 90mm to 200mm. Based on a detailed technical drawing or a sample, custom items can be manufactured upon precise customer request. Flat knives are usually mounted on pneumatic supports and cutting systems and are particularly suitable for slicers and rewinding machines; but also on converting machines for cutting numerous materials such as laminates, aluminum, paper, flexible packaging, cardboard, films, and also non-woven fabrics.
To avoid residual material buildup during cutting and to significantly reduce roughness, a mirror polishing treatment can be applied to the flat knives. This operation, in particular, is recommended for those who cut laminates, adhesive materials, or woven and non-woven fabrics; this is because it produces less dust, a common issue during cutting.
Flat knives can be mounted on high-speed machines, unlike conical knives which are used on medium/low-speed machines.
These types of knives cut against counter blades or multiple counter knives with different locking types such as pack, ball, and set screw locking.
Flat knives can be resharpened multiple times. Sometimes, it may be necessary to restore the bevel as well, an operation that gives the knife cutting characteristics very similar to those of a new one.
