Double Bevel Flat Knives

Flat knives are mounted on both pneumatic and normal blade holders and are used for a scissor cut.
The table contains only some of the sizes most commonly used on the market and available in stock.
However, we are able to build other types of circular blades according to your drawings or samples.

Double Bevel Flat Knives, sizes 90x60x1.2 mm, 105x60x1.2 mm, 160x130x2 mm, 180x70x2.5 mm, are made from low chromium steel (100Cr6) and high chromium steel (K100). Upon customer request, they can also be manufactured from other types of steel.
The thickness and bevel of flat knives vary depending on the material to be cut. In fact, the bevel can be of three types: single, double, or with front relief.

The sharpening angle is either 25° or 30°.

The sizes of Double Bevel Flat Knives are available in stock with outer diameters ranging from 90 mm to 200 mm. Custom products can be manufactured based on a detailed technical drawing or a sample provided by the customer.

These types of knives are mounted on cutting systems and pneumatic holders and are mainly used on slitter and rewinder machines, as well as on converting machines for cutting a wide range of materials such as laminates, aluminum, paper, flexible packaging, cardboard, films, and nonwoven fabric.

Double Bevel Flat Knives can undergo mirror polishing treatment to prevent residual material from building up during cutting. This treatment significantly reduces surface roughness and is especially recommended for cutting adhesive materials, laminates, or fabric and nonwoven materials, as it minimizes the generation of dust — a common issue during cutting processes.

These knives are typically used on high-speed machines, unlike conical knives, which are generally used on medium- to low-speed machines.

Flat knives cut against counter-blades or multiple counter-knives with various clamping systems, such as stacked, ball, or set screw types.

Double Bevel Flat Knives can be resharpened multiple times, and in some cases, it may also be necessary to restore the bevel. This operation restores cutting performance to nearly new conditions.
