Double Bevel Conical Knives, in various types of steel, suitable for rewinding machines, cutters and control tables, for cutting paper, abrasives, flexible laminates, TNT etc.
Double Bevel Dished Knives are manufactured in various types of steel: 100Cr6, 12% Cr, ASP, HSS, K100, and K720. Available sizes include: 62x40x0.6 mm, 65x45x1.2 mm, 72x50x1.2 mm, 75x40x0.98 mm, 75x45x1.2 mm, 75x50x1 mm, 75x50x1.2 mm, 90x60x1.2 mm, 100x65x1.2 mm, 100x70x0.8 mm, 100x70x1.2 mm, 100x65x0.8 mm, 105x60x1.2 mm, 105x75x0.8 mm, 105x75x1.2 mm, 105x70x1.5 mm, 105x75x0.7 mm, 105x60x1.5 mm, 108x75x1.2 mm, 108x82x1.2 mm, 110x65x1.2 mm, 110x75x1.2 mm, 130x100x1.5 mm, 130x80x1.5 mm, 130x80x1.8 mm, 140x100x1.8 mm, 149.5x80x1.5 mm, 150x80x2.5 mm, 180x70x4 mm, and 180x80x4 mm.
Dished knives can be customized based on the material to be cut, by modifying the thickness and bevel. There are three bevel types:
- Single bevel (suitable for cutting paper and laminated materials);
- Concave bevel (suitable for cutting aluminum or thin laminates);
- Double bevel – also known as a hybrid bevel, as it is suitable for cutting a wide range of materials such as PET, polypropylene, PVC, flexible packaging, and many others.
Dished knives are usually available in stock in sizes ranging from 62 mm to 180 mm in outer diameter. Upon customer request and with a provided sample or dimensioned technical drawing, custom items can be manufactured.
The sharpening angle is 30°.
Double Bevel Dished Knives are suitable for use on slitter rewinders, slitting machines, and inspection tables for cutting paper, aluminum, rubber, electrical cables, lithographic tapes, flexible and adhesive laminates, nonwovens (TNT), labels, paperboard, and films. These dished knives are used on all slitting machines that operate with a scissor cut and can be mounted on both pneumatic and standard knife holders.
These knives can be either ground or mirror-polished. The mirror polishing significantly reduces surface roughness, resulting in less adhesive residue on the cutting edge. This treatment is ideal for cutting adhesive materials, laminates, or nonwovens, as it minimizes dust generation—thanks to the special blade geometry.
Thanks to advanced manufacturing technology, our dished knives offer the ability to achieve high cutting speeds without compromising quality.
Dished knives, along with knife holders with set screw, stacked, or ball lock systems, form the upper component of the scissor cutting mechanism. These work in opposition to the lower knives, known as counter-knives. The knife holders and counter-knives, available in various locking systems, are also manufactured by us.
Double Bevel Dished Knives can be re-sharpened—a process that restores the worn product by renewing the cutting edge and, if necessary, the bevel as well. This significantly extends the knife’s service life. Re-sharpening also helps reduce resource and material waste; instead of replacing worn tools with new ones, re-sharpening allows for the reuse of the same tools, reducing the environmental impact of production and disposal.
