The Core Cutting Knives Bevels 17mm measuring 120x40x2mm with 2 bevels of 17mm are made of K100 steel. Upon request, we can also produce them using other types of steel, such as high-speed HSS steel, which offers greater wear resistance and superior performance. For specific requirements, simply provide us with a sample or a detailed technical drawing, and we can also create customized versions.

These knives are available with bevels of variable lengths ranging from 10 to 25 mm. The choice of length depends on the thickness of the material to be cut: longer bevels facilitate blade insertion and can improve cutting quality. Their design allows operation at high speeds, minimizing dust production and ensuring precise, clean, and high-quality cuts.

The cutting angle can be sharpened from 20° to 30°.

The Core Cutting Knives Bevels 17mm are mounted on converting machinery and are ideal for cutting materials such as sponge, rubber, flexible laminates, plastic films, and non-woven fabrics. However, they are particularly suitable for cutting tubes and cardboard cores.
These knives are mounted on the upper part of the shaft, which is why they are also called upper knives. The Core Cutting Knives perform “flying cuts” or cuts with stops, depending on the type of machinery in use.

Additionally, the Core Cutting Knives can undergo grinding or thermal hardening processes, which increase the steel’s hardness, enhancing wear resistance and extending tool life.

A highly qualified in-house service is the resharpening of the Core Cutting Knives, which restores worn knives, reducing waste and scrap materials. After this process, the tools return to optimal condition, ensuring high cutting performance and efficiency. This practice supports sustainability, as it helps reduce environmental impact and optimizes the client’s investment.
