The Core Cutting Knives Bevels 12mm, dimensions 120x40x2mm, are manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS). Upon specific customer request, they can also be produced in other types of steel, such as steel with a higher chromium content of 12% (K100). Additionally, by providing a sample or a detailed technical drawing, we can produce customized products.

The tube cutting knives have different bevel lengths ranging from 10 to 25 mm. The type of bevel depends on the thickness of the material to be cut; indeed, a longer bevel facilitates the entry of the blade into the material during the cutting phase.

These knives operate at high speeds, minimizing dust production and ensuring high cutting quality.

The cutting angle can be sharpened from 20° to 30°.

The Core Cutting Knives Bevels 12/13mm are designed to be mounted on converting machines and are ideal for cutting various materials such as rubber, non-woven fabrics, foam, plastic films, and flexible composite materials. However, they are particularly effective for cutting cores and cardboard tubes.
They are also referred to as top knives, as they are installed on the upper part of the shaft. Depending on the type of machine, they can perform “flying cuts” or cuts with counter pressure.

These Core Cutting Knives Bevels 12/13mm can undergo grinding or heat treatment (hardening), a process in which the steel is heated to precise temperatures and rapidly cooled, thereby increasing the overall hardness of the material.

The Core Cutting Knives Bevels 12mm can also receive a resharpening service, which allows the worn blade to be restored, possibly including the bevel, until reaching a minimum diameter beyond which the tool loses effectiveness. After resharpening, the blade returns to optimal operating conditions. Furthermore, this procedure promotes a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach, minimizing waste of raw materials and resources.
