Internationalization and revenue growth
Nowadays, with production facilities extending over about 3000 m2 and 23 employees, Negri Lame has an annual output of about 180,000 medium sized tools, with a turnover that, in 2017, came to 2.1 million Euros.
2001
New industrial settlement in Siziano
In January, the operational headquarters of Negri Lame are moved to Via Bernina in Siziano, in the province of Pavia. In the newly built industrial complex, new machines are installed to further optimise the various production cycles. The range of solutions offered by the company has been widened and diversified, targeting both domestic and foreign markets.
1984
Consolidation on italian market
Paola Negri, firstborn of the founder, works next to her father and, with passion and expertise, helps increase the presence of the company in the home market. A few years on, Laura, Agostino’s second child, will also join the family business, ensuring continuity in management and the attainment of company objectives, as well as a specific focus on quality and innovation.
1974
New property facility in Fizzonasco of Pieve Emanuele
Officina Meccanica Negri experiences a new phase of development, and at this point is working only for direct customers. With a view to increasing its production capacity, the company moves yet again to bigger facilities, this time in Fizzonasco, in the municipality of Pieve Emanuele. The new plant is equipped with latest generation machinery, and the number of people employed also grows, with new qualified personnel. Behind every great man there’s a great woman: Vanda Petazzi, who will assist Agostino in the management of the company. The growth in business volumes and the need to have more production lines, call for larger manufacturing facilities, and over time Agostino Negri rents three industrial business in the vicinity of the Fizzonasco plant.
1965
New industrial building in Milano
The company begins to establish itself in the market, and while it continues to work for third parties, it starts dealing with direct customers. To meet rapidly growing market demand, Agostino Negri moves the business to a new building, situated in Via Barona, 25, Milan, and hires the company’s first employees.
1961
Officina Meccanica Negri was founded
Banking on Agostino Negri’s expertise in the production of small components, Officina Meccanica Negri, a company specialising in the design and manufacture of circular cutting tools, is established in Milan, at Via Conca del Naviglio 25. Initially, the company works for third parties.
